This beautiful form of exercise nurtures the whole being whilst keeping us fit. Because Yoga encourages and works in harmony with each person’s natural energies, a greater degree of peace can be attained on all levels – spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically.
Attention is given to the breath, and by co-ordinating our physical movements with the breath and with mind concentration, we can begin to achieve our potential.
As we become more in tune with ourselves we can then feel more at ease, be better able to deal with stressful situations, be more focused and have greater clarity when making decisions.
Beauty of spirit, grace of movement and peace of mind then flow naturally.
Bones for Life is extremely popular on the continent and in Canada/USA and is finding it’s way into the UK steadily and surely.
There is an option of weekly classes and/or one to one sessions.
We are also holding a retreat on July 26-28 2024 Conscious Body, Open Heart with Marye Wyvill, the Co-Director of Movement Intelligence UK and Rajesh David, experienced teacher of Nada Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and Advaita.
Marye’s sessions will include developing a well-aligned posture, learning how to safeguard vulnerable joints and increasing biological optimism.
With gentle yet profound movements, bones can be strengthened and tension released. some movements can be practiced in the five or ten minutes when you are waiting for something to happen or to relieve pressure when standing or sitting for too long; others will take a little longer but all can produce the most amazing affect of well being and uprightness in posture.
Regular classes can really help the whole being although even one 1-1 class can give helpful hints of exercise to practice safely at home. Bones for Life sessions can also be given online over Zoom.
The sessions take place in our heated indoor swimming Pool, designed for easy access to a safe and level depth of water, surrounded by handrails for support. Classes are taught individually or in small groups by thoroughly trained and qualified teachers who will look to the needs of each student. AquaMove feeds the whole being – the freedom of movement frees the mind allowing us to feel the joy within.
